REACH

11.10.2015

All companies manufacturing or importing chemical substances into the European Union in quantities of one tonne or more per year are required to register their substances according to the new EU Regulation REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals). REACH regulates the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemical substances.

New Chemicals Regulation
In charge of executing the processes designed by the REACH regulation is ECHA – the European Chemicals Agency. The Agency is located in Helsinki and was officially launched on June 3, 2008. ECHA provides information about chemical substances as well as technical and scientific advice. Furthermore, the chemicals agency maintains software instruments and databases necessary for the implementation of REACH. As of June 1, new substances can be registered and some 30,000 existing substances can be pre-registered. To inform their customers LUCOBIT AG provides information leaflets with all necessary data about the chemicals regulation REACH.
