LUCOBIT RESINS AND THEIR USE IN FOAM APPLICATIONS

Polyolefin foams are a relatively recent development compared to other foams such as polyurethane and polystyrene. Polyolefin based foams can be tough, flexible and resistant to chemicals depending on customer's specifications. Most polyolefin foams have a closed-cell structure which makes the foams suitable for applications where buoyancy is important. They also provide resilience for packaging, building and construction applications such as insulation as well as in automobiles, sports, leisure and agriculture.

Polyolefins used in foaming applications include polyethylene, polypropylene and various copolymers such as LUCOBIT's 1400's product series based on EBA (ethylene butyl acrylate).
